urgent (kinda)

ok so wre woreking on my truck now.we got the oil pump in but cant figure out whjere the driveshft for it goes. if you hae a picture of a site with a picture please let me know like now haha

The drive shaft goes in where it bolts up 2 the bottom on the block. If you take out the distributor it goes into the bottom of that. The dist turns the oil pump.

does the distributor have to come out?

Dist. has to come out to put the oil pump shaft in as far as I know.

No I do not have a pic. But it you pop your dist cap off, use a sharpie to mark where the rotor is on the housing. Then take the 13mm bolt out that holds the dist down and pull it up. When the dist rotor stops spinning make a mark where it stops with the sharpie. Then when you put it back in. You can get it in the same way.
