On my girlfriends moms truck all of her lights behind her gauges went out and at night you cant read anything. If someon has done this before tips would be nice and blue print breakdown would be nice also so I can see what Im geting into. Does the bezal light up or is there bulbs.
Sounds like a fuse to me if all the lights went out. Have you checked her manual yet for fuse location on that truck? Also, give us more info on the truck in question. That will help alot with diagnosing the problem.
I did mine about a week ago... Very simple. (bulbs by the way. #104 I think but you can look them up on the lil machine at autozone or somewhere.)0 Pull the dash off. remove and unplug the headlight switch. Then the radio and set them aside. There are IIRC 4 screws that hold the instrument dash on. Unscrew them and pull the dash out. On the back there are three wiring harnesses. unplug them and the dash is free. There are a total of six bulbs. Mine were in there very tightly. I uses a pair of pliers to carfully turn them out. counterclockwise about 1/4 turn. Thats it... reassemble. Sorry if I confused ya.
She took the truck to a local shop and they said they had to pull the radio and that they didnt know how and said that is bs. Il do it but I have an obs truck and want sure what all i had to do. I put new gauges in mine and it wasnt to bad.
