Bring a tow strap for pulling cars out of the ditch.
funny you say that.. my neighbor has a box van (no weight in the back) he got about 3 feet and couldn't go no more... I snow blow ed a path the front of his van..turned around and hooked up a chain.. I put it I third gear with about 2 feet of slack in the chain...full throttle I came to the end of the chain.., the van jumped over the little snow bank that was under the front end.. this tractor has been a work horse for me since I got it.. set of chains on the tires..80 lb of wheel weights in the wheels and 100 lb set of dumbbells on the back hitch.....i have done alot of land scapping with it.. i need to run the chains in the summer when i have the trailer behind it..to keep from spinning ..lol i always fill it to the top no matter what it is..
oh yeah Ron i feel your pain, i have gotten about 5 hrs of sleep since thursday night with all that white crap falling here. I work for my hometown in MA this snow was horrible after it turned to rain down here both hydrualic pistons broke on the plow on the town truck. we would have been much better off with a front mount blower like yours.
Damn you ron! If i was there i couldn't be happier! We were just on the edge of it. They were calling for 1-2" of snow then changing over to rain in the night, but it was ALL rain. I was very disappointed. And if we had 25", whoo that would mean a few new trucks and some equipment! $$$$
lol.. we got covered..I had already cleaned up 8" yesterday..then we got blasted again... got very little rain..it was all snow.....sucks not having a cab thought..ice hanging off of my mustache.. doesn't matter where you blow that stuff..the wind always brings it back ...lol i am thinking about a blower for the front of my truck..
Yeah, i know what you mean. Before i got my license, i was the "foreman" of the snowblower crew, We have three 4' blowers and one 5' blower... Out on those things, especially when it was snowing was the "best". Then you'd have the chute one direction, the wind would cover you with it and then you'd be a snowman. It gets down inside your hood and then now youre jacket is soaked, you get cold, etc. Especially your feet. I get mild frostbite every time i go out there and do that.
the jacket I am wearing is water resistant and wind proof with 3M instantiation..I have been ski doing with this suit at 20 below and never been cold...loggers up here use them all the time..... I have the pants too..the only thing that gets cold on me is my face and my left hand.. my tractor now has duel exhaust..one blowing on each foot..so my feet do ok...

I can relate! I plow my road with an open kabota, I use the bucket though. I love it, everyone thinks I'm crazy but it's fun.
When I go out and plow with the ATV or snowblow, I make sure every square inch of my body is covered with something. I have full face mask for snowmobiling that only leaves my eyes and bridge of my nose uncovered. I also use a set of old down hill ski googles to cover that area. It works great no snow in the eyes or on the face. Although when all suited up I look like an overweight ninja with ski googles on. Not that I'm over weight I just wear a bunch of layers.
