nway my question is..
since the computer isnt sending the 12V signal to the relay to close the circuit can i manualy do it? by running a wire straigt from the battery to the relay with a switch ?
will it work?
its just temporarly untill i get my new computer in jan -feb.
The reason for this is while the fuel pumps are running the fuel injectors are not firing.
The real source of the problem is that one or more electronic capacitors have gone bad in the computer. If the capacitors were replaced then the computer would run for another 17 years. Unless you let the smoke out of the computer this is about the only thing that goes wrong with them.
Electronic capacitors can sometimes heal themselves for short periods with the power on and work for a little while but they will give up totally sooner or later.
If you are good working at board level you can replace them.
Here is the URL:

The URL is for fixing a non-Ford computer but the information is close enough and you just have to change the values of the caps to match yours.

I said Electronic capacitors and should have said Electrolytic capacitors both times.
Most of the time poster are not able to work at board level so we just say replace the Computer.
