What do you consider to be the best mod that you have done to your truck? I am pretty much just getting started but I can see the list of things I would like to do getting longer every day. I just ordered my Dp tuner yesterday (merry christmas to me) to replace the superchips I already have.....I can't believe I paid as much for that as the Dp..........but at the time I didn't know any better!

The DP tuner is the best bang for the buck, my next one is a new "up graded" turbo (my baring is going)

Thumbs up Hopefully gauges?

Hopefully you have gauges? If not, be carefull with the tuner. The ISSPROs look great and easy to install...

Gauges are nessasary and cool looking, but not the best mod for the truck they are supporting mods. I think the fuel mods would be the next best mod (reg return, intank etc). I would be doing those next, but I need a turbo.

Hey Bob, what are you seeing for oil pressure cold and at operating temps, also which oil are you running? I had a dancing gauge and changed it out, but still about 60 cold and up to 75 cold at 2000 rpms and about 35 to 40 hot. Just looking to see if what I am seeing is average with the rotella 14w40 and about 45* outside air temp.

I plan on installing a 4" turbo back after the first of the year, and in tank mods have been on the top of my mind also

All I have is 4" so far, but it really helped it get up and go like a gasser off the line. Dont settle for 4" stainless that costs over $400. If you do you shopping you will find something MBRP/Silverline for $400 to your door. Try the ebay OBO's. Or get the Pinnacle Power that is a nice looking system.

By far, the "low hanging fruit" is an intake, exhaust, gauges, and the DP Tuner. I did those along with the CCV mod first (due to excellent advice here) and it's like driving a whole different truck. Do those first, then the in-tank mods. You might want to do the tranny mods up front as well (TransGo kit or BTS or similar VB, etc.), that way when when you get your DP, Jody can configure it for the updates.

After those the rest is much less dramatic -- some are for smoother idle, quieter injectors, convenience, etc... You can research all that here. My $0.02.

You guys think that the 4" exhaust is the way to go? Or is 3" a better choice?

Do you mean, "You guys think that the 4" exhaust is the way to go? Or is 5" a better choice?"?

If ircc, don't our trucks come stock with a 3.5" exhaust, besides the downpipe?

You are correct, stock is 3.5" so putting 3" on would be a bad idea. People say the dp is smaller than 3.5, but if it is it isn't by much. It wasn't this crazy restricion like I have heard some say. I think it is the OBS trucks that are 2" and flat.

4" or 5" that is your call. Do you want performance or deep sound? Your call.
