ok, so i put on a new fuel pump and it fixed my original problem but now i have a new problem. when i hit the throttle hard, it bogs for a second and then picks up. it feels like i've lost a lot of throttle response and low end power. could i have too much fuel pressure now?
background : i replaced a bad stock fuel pump with a holley 80gph. it was the lowest end of the holley pumps, so i figured it would be fine. i'm also running a 670cfm street avenger.
I would check the fuel pressure to make sure it is 6.5lbs or less.
Also try lowering your floats just a little. They should be just below the sight plug.
