XCAL3 not reconized....
ok im tired and frustrated now.. spent all day trying to find a USB cable that fits in the bottom of my SCT3 tuner and after download all the sparten files on there site i open the program and select load live tunes a d computer asks to plug in livewire device and press ok. SO i plug it in and press ok. then it says " system exeption: failed to get pipe info.

at sct.LLLWform.opendrive()
Now wut does this mean????? thanx for n e help

Livewire and XCal3 use the same software on the computer. What operating system is your computer--Windows XP, Mac, etc.? I don't know what's on the Spartan website, but you can get the files at www.sctflash.com to make sure you have the latest updates on your computer.

I dont think the SCT software is working properly on Vista yet.

it dose work on vista riggs, got it on mine just fine. Trav, I had the same problems with mine, you have to go to the sct website and get all the updates. Its been a little bit since ive did mine so i apologize I cant give you step by step directions but make sure you download and install all the updates. look in the sct tech support or the forums, I beleave I got the instructions there/. I beleave you have to hold select though when you plug it in to update the excal 3/.. good luck!

Hey thanx very much for the replys guys.. they did work.. and i ended up using the online instructions on there site.. i had to make the computer reinstall hardware device driver.. so its all good now.. got the tunes in. now got bigger issues.. but thats another post. thanx again
