I got a 2006 F-150 5.4. It has edge chip and works great. Got 2 to 3 mpg to gal additional. Installed a aem brute force intake and now get the p061 code along with p2106. I know the p061 is a H02 bank 2 sensor 3. Has any one had this problem. Any insight would be lots of help.
Well not all CAI's run them lean. I have not heard of the AEM doing it either. When you put the intake on did you disconnect your battery for a couple of minutes and hook it back up? That would reset the computer to allow it to relearn the airflow.
well my issue seems to be fix for now. I unhook the battery cables and reconnect after a few minutes. Crank the truck and let idle in stock. Then switched to level 2 and drove the truck. Went a mile and truck threw the codes. Also fail safe mode. Put the truck in nuetral and shut it off and the recrank. It happened 3 different times and then quit. Drove approx 55 miles today and no more problem. Edge techs said I neede to train the ecu and guess that did it. Thanks for the advice
Thats great. I am glad you got it fixed. It is just as they told you. Anytime you mess with airflow in the engine you need to disconnect the battery to reset the computer. Then give it a little bit of time to relearn the new airflow.
Just read this thread. Would this apply to changing to an AEM panel filter from stock?
I have the Edge and it felt like it was running a little rough after I put the AEM in today.
my 04 doesnt like my cai either. im running the diablosport programmer and a brute force intake. ive changed from stock to the cai 3 times now and ive thrown lean codes everytime i put the cai on. no matter what tune is in the truck and ive even changed the mass air flow settings according to diablo to comensate for the higher airflow. still throwing codes. gettin mad at it too. i might just sell all my aftermarket stuff and put the money towards a down payment on the 09

It does not hurt anything by unhooking the battery (reseting the computer). I would give it a try then see if you see any difference in the next couple of days.

Did you try reseting the computer by unhooking the battery? Sometimes the simplest things can be the best fix.
i tried it once before but its been a while. i plan on trying it again but this time im gonna install the original tune back into my ecm. and i need to update my programmer again. then unhook the battery for a while and install the tune again with the updated specs. maybe then everything will work right.
hey guys just try to retrain the ecu to accept the cai. Mine still through the lean codes after resetting the ecu. Try this when it throws the code cut the truck off in nuetral and recrank and clear the codes. Mine did it about 3 times before it accepted the cai. I do not believe they are running lean cause mine threw a rich code when i did not let it warm up when it was 30 deg outside.
