Wipers??

Okay, this is kind of a weird topic, but I haven't seen anyone post about wiper blades. I am not too happy with the ones I have and was wondering if anyone has a preference for any particular blades and what size 18" or 16"?

I really like the Polar Guard Plus I just purchased for both my truck and the wife's Durango. Around $7 each. Full arm replacement. Not just the blade. Made by PEAK. I had been using a similar blade from NAPA. But these are slightly cheaper and as good or better.

I just got some new FUSION wipers and they rock. They were $20/ea but they work on pressure flex instead of the step setups that freeze. I got mine at O'reilly's.

I don't think I have Oreilleys anywhere around me. $20 each for wipers seems insanely high, but if they work really good and last a little longer, I wouldn't mind paying, but I sure like Orezonas $7 price a little better.

They have the rubber over the arm to prevent freezing from snow/ice buildup. I change mine once a year. This year is the 1st time I got them from Sams. But they seem just like the NAPA version I discovered while on a pheasant hunt in ND.

I run the new TRICO's (I can't think of what there called) 22" I have had them on for a year now and thats really good for down here the sun in the summer really cooks them. I really like the 22" ones over the stock size big diference.

I agree cheap ones here as well 20" infact just replaced them today, they don't last long up here in the north country, with all the ice, you always tear or get frozen down to the windshield. I used to buy the heavy duty ice wipers, but they didn't last any longer than cheapies, so now I just get the $6 wipers and call it good, I have to replace them every 6 months or less anyway. All I know is they never last long enough to wear out and stop working. I don't care how great the wiper is when the is 2 inches of ice on the windshield there frozen down.

I must apologize on the name I said . They are actually Anco contour blades. You can see them at http://www.federal-mogul.com/en/Afte...lades/Contour/
Hopefully that link works. They are the best wipers I have ever had. Longevity I am not sure yet since I have only had them a month.

I run the 24" Rain X blades,(cheap at $7 ea) although with as little rain as we had in Alabama this year I could have saved that $14.

Bosch Icon

I run Bosch Icon's on the truck and my wife's Durango, their the same design as Tom's "pressure flex", just a blade with an air foil on the top edge to keep the blade down on the glass. They are the best I've ever had, but spendy @ $20 to $25 each.

I got such a mish-mash of blades on my vehicles...
The Skooby-Roo got a new set of Rain-X metal frame blades Friday (before it froze and snowed like a biotch)..
My truck has a set of the NAPA/Trico frameless blades (Anco Contour is similar)... I put them on a couple weeks ago, and they suck. They already chatter and streak... drives ya nuts to listen to it.
Oldest kid's Silverado has a set of the generic condom covered winter wipers,
The 88 F150 has a set of Anco Winter Wipers on it, and frankly, is the best set of blades I got on anything right now.
