I havent read this thread but a couple of weeks ago bought new blades, 21 inch Bosch icons i think there called, totally new concept in wipers, they are like the toyo open country mud Ts of wipers, they are AWESOME!
Benny... you should try running those Icons in the 24-inch size... talk about a wide open clear windshield... I ran 20's for over a year, and upsized to the 24's, and they're even more awesome than the 20's because they clean so much more of the windshield.
Chad, i don't plow snow with my personal truck, but we do have 3 or 4 other trucks i put them on, because i like them so much. All of the drivers actually compliment on how well they don't freeze up. I remember once they did get a little frozen, but i got out and lifted them up, let them drop once, and then they were fine!
Whats the deal with two different blades on our S/Ds?? I just bought a set of Bosch Icons from AutoZone @ buy one get one free w/mail in rebate.
The Bosch #s 420A for drivers side and #420B for the passenger side.
Can I really go to a 22" or 24" blade?? I haven't removed these from the package yet but I'm assuming they are 20"??? does this seem right??
The reason for two part numbers is how they attach to the wiper arms, one for the left and one for the right. You can buy a longer blade.
Yes, you can really go with a 22" or 24" blade. I have the 24's on both my Excursion adn my F250, and they do GREAT! However, you will not... again, I repeat... you will NOT find a 424B part number for the 24's... they only come in "A"s and the "A"s fit equally well on either wiper arm... there is no difference in fit, especially for our vehicles. I used to think there was a difference because of the A and B part numbers for the 20's, but it just ain't so.
How many of you guys actually clean your blades when you wash your truck? I've been doing it since I upgraded to the Icons and it seems to help allot. I just use a damp (not soaking wet) rag and swipe down the blade. Usually remove allot of little crap, but they always clean better after I clean them. So far I have 15 months on the set on my truck and still working great.
Hey Pete you were right, I just went out and looked at mine and couldn't find any difference, I originally thought one would be upside down if the A was installed in place of the B.
I sure like how easy they are to install.
Live and learn or seeing is believing.
Brian your right about keeping em clean, considering all the pine needles and pitch we have in the pacific nw.

That's funny. I've seen you before on here. Whereabouts in Yacolt? I grew up in Amboy west of the community park (territorial Grounds) and hope to move back to No Clark County sometime soon.
It's not like the wiper blade arms are opposed. The little curved end on the end of the wiper arm is the same direction on both sides, so why does it matter if it's a left or a right blade?
Hey Brian, 7 miles North of Battle Ground, off 503 I'm 1 mile up Gabriel Rd and loving every minute of this beautiful river country.
It's a small world. I know exactly where you are talking about. That's a nice area you have there. Should have agood chance of seeing some snow this Sunday per the weatherman, especially in your area. Give me a PM if you ever have a mod and need a hand. Always looking to help if not to learn on more mods for my truck.
