Im looking for a seal and gasket kit for a dana 24 transfercase, any info would be great...Thanks...Late 60s model I think?
Try again..1959/72 F100/250 transfer cases were Spicer-Dana 205's.
The ONLY other transfer case used then was the Rockwell-Timken used in F600's.
Need the actual transfer case ID number, found on a metal tag. The tag will either have a 7 digit Spicer-Dana ID number (sample: 300205-6), or a Ford number that contains the code of: 7A195.
BroncoGraveyard.com sells them 3 seals for intermediate, fwd and rear drive shafts and 2 small seals for shifter shafts. Also all the necessary gaskets.
Where do you think I found the transfer case info I posted, from a crystal ball?
The info came direct from the 1964/72FordTruckPartsCatalog / Section 70 / Page 1 / Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Application Charts.
The catalog only lists the Ford T/C tag numbers & the 7 digit Dana ID codes, not the model numbers.
There's no mention of Dana 20, 21 or 24's.
There are two parts lists that pertain to all the F100/250 4WD's: 17A & 17B.
So according to you I either have bad eyes or I'm a liar???
With all due respect, Bill, I don't care what your book says because I have a tag on my case that says Dana model 24 and I bought and installed a rebuild kit for a Dana 24!! Maybe that isn't a part number that you can look up but it worked for me. Can you even get parts that old at the Ford dealer anymore?? Does anybody want to??
I can and do read books, lots of them, but I also work on things with my own hands.
205s are made by New Process and didn't come around till 74/75. Before that all
F-250s used the Dana 24. F-100s used the 24 till 65 then 66-74 used the single speed Dana 21.

Please read what I said again...I meant no disrespect.
What I said was that the parts catalog doesn't list the Model Codes (Dana 24, whatever)...all it gives are the Dana (Spicer) 7 digit ID numbers or the Ford ID numbers.
Because Ford doesn't say so, and because I've never owned a 4WD Ford truck..I have no idea...if the 7 digit codes are Dana 24's or whatever.
