+1. I love each truck for the style that it is. Different parts/designs also tend to lend themselves to different styles as well...

Personally I like bagged f100's layin frame quite a bit.

If it's a Slick,,,,, chances are I will like it, would'nt do the slam to mine, ones a 4x and the other is a 250 that is a worker, but,,, I like the wide whites, make it look classy.
I say go for it, kinda like the line up the back of the stockings ~ some like some don't, just depends on what blows yer hair back!

I have a pic of a 65 CS with a 10 footer on it with what appears to be 2 to 3" wide white...its a B&W pic, but looks good...tires appear to be prolly factory judging by the tread design.

Im not for the frame laying on the ground...the only time Ive ever seen them that low is en route to the crusher...

I'm thinking about laying it on the rockers ,but if I do I will build a tube chassis using , 4 link in the rear , IFS , with air ride . I didn't want to get this deep in it , but this always seems to happen . For engine I will most likely use 351 / 5 speed . Sittin on some wide whites . Does anyone make a billet grille for a 66 F100 ? I might end up having to fab one .

Being fairly unfamiliar with these weedeaters, how are ya keepin the rockers from crushing? Looks like they are literally laying on the sheetmetal. Not my cup of tea, but then again, not everybody likes my taste, either!

Is that a factory photo?

All the factory photos I've seen and the sales brochures agree that the widest w/w tire was less than 2" (prolly 1 3/4") and there was about 1/2" of black rubber showing between the rim and the whitewall.

Anything wider was dealer or owner installed.

I think Matt pretty much answered the question with pictures of those fine trucks. My truck is the exact same as the one in the vintage picture with the whitewalls, except my tires are blackwalls. I have Pete Paulsen half moons on the front and rear with 12" wide tires in the rear. Wheel is painted aqua to match the paint. I think they look great and would consider the whitewalls. The wider ones look great. IMHO, the thin 1" whitewalls don't work very well.

This truck has been on my most hideous Slick list ever since the first time I saw it around 2-3 years ago.
I don't like it because
A) its Hideous
B) It's super ugly
and C) It has a small block Chebby.

It and it's owner and it's wide whites could all vanish form the planet and there would be NO loss.

(you DID ask for an opinion)

Have not seen a old ford with white walls on them or even one that low. Me personaly I like the raised white lettering on my old 66 ford.

A. 'its Hideous' : Well why do you think its hideous?

B. 'Super ugly' is essentially a synonym for 'hideous'.

C. We were talking about how it LOOKS, not what its powered by.

Well I can only speak for myself, but

A) I hate the way it sits on the ground. Truck, not hovercraft. I dislike the design on the tailgate and the hood.

B) Ok, I'll give ya this one.

C) Lets just say it's about looks. Open the hood, BAM...instantly ugly.
