How does it sound I dont want that ricer sound . If so is it worth the money or just a waste of money .
I put on a Gibson 3" single about 5 or 6 years ago. It gave the truck noticeable better better pull down low, and a nice, mellow, trucky rumble...definitely not ricer at all.
The only thing I would change if I had to do it again: I'd blow the dough and get the same system in stainless over aluminized.
I'm a-fixin' to get Clifford's new single-outlet 6-2-1 header and a 3" highflow cat and tie that into the exisiting Gibson; we'll see how that sounds!

Look at the bottom of the page for the sound files.
I myself redid the whole exhaust system on my truck. Installed a set of Clifford Performace dual outlet headers, 3" high flow cat, 2.5" Flowmaster 30 series muffler, and 2.5" pipe out the back. Does pretty good!

$250 for Clifford Headers
$110 for High flow catalytic converter
$45 for Flowmaster muffler
$35 for the y-pipe to combine the dual outlet headers into a single pip
Around $150 to have someone route and weld pipe and the other components, except for the headers.
Most mechanics don't want to install headers and if you do want them to, most of them will want $500 or more. You can install them yourself but they are an all day job!
