Just wondering if anyone else watched and remembered how great monday nights used to be. I almost broke down crying when the Godfather's music hit and he came walking out with the hoes. It hasn't been that good in a long time
I'm probably one of the 2 or 3 'wrasslin' fans on this site. I watched a little, but I'm just generally prett sick of the WWE.
I agree that it was better for a while. Godfather, Insane Clown Posse, Sable,
Stone Cold and some others were pretty good. They had a series around here called 'Shotgun Saturday Night' for a while -- and that was about as good as the WWE/F has ever been IMHO.
I grew up on the AWA ( well, at first it was just wrasslin), and they used to have hokey down to a science. They never used to say who won the match, and both parties would always claim victory -- one by count out, and the other because he was cheated. I still remember being surprised when Tom Snyder brought out Bruno Sanmartino as the world champ instead of Vern Gagne!
Wish we could get back to some good stuff-- not all of these long drawn out
rivalries and the microphone battles. And not all of these unbelievably violent beatdowns and backstage attacks. I want a story that I can force myself to believe a little but.
It was pretty good. I miss watching wrestling with my Grandpa about 15 years ago. I always thought that watching wrestling would kill him. He got really excited.
I always perferred WCW untill about 6-8 months before it ended. The good news is that most of the wcw guys are going over to TNA. I like watching it. It doesn't appear to have as much BS in it.
I used to love the wwe and werestling in general but like most people I got to bored with all the "wrestlers" running their mouths. I tried to watch it a few weeks ago but I just can't get into it again. I do kinda miss the days of watchin it though
TNA is decent with the exception of Don West's terrible voice and a lot of the wrestlers bad microphone skills. I mostly watch it for Black Machismo and for some reason I still like to watch Dustin Rhodes. TNA will be something one day I think

I used to watch the WWF religiously through most of high school and first couple years of college (probably '96-01 or so). During the time of the original D-X, the Ministry, Mankind & Undertaker's feud, the Nation of Domination, that was good stuff, very entertaining, I loved it.
Then when Stephanie McMahon started making more of the decisions, there was more and more emphasis placed on Triple H, and it seemed like EVERY freakin' show had 1/3 of its time based around him running his mouth, or some BS with Randy Orton. Week in, week out, just seemed like it was the same stuff rehashed over and over again. And it seemed like there was a lot more talking and a lot less of anything else. 2 hours of garbage. I also felt liike after Brock Lesnar left, it got less interesting overall.
I missed a few shows and then just stopped watching it completely, I just found I had no interest. Haven't watched it at all in probably 3-4 years now.
I remember the mid to late 70s.....Used to be on late night (1100pm).....Dusty Rhoads...Roddy Piper...The Mighty Igor...Ric Flair...Ivan Koloff...Tony Atlas...Prince Tonga...Ricky Steamboat...Wahoo McDaniel.....
Hell....Flair and Steamboat still live here in Charlotte.....
Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes are still BMFs. Your right HHH was cool in DX but is kinda boring now and the Nation with Owen Hart was badass. Its true that theres not enough wrestling and too much b.s.
I still can remember as a young child visiting my Grandmother in Milwaukee It was sat. nite , my mother had my brother & I take our weekly bath and she had a whole some nite of quality TV planned as " The Blind Man of Bogata" was starting at 8 pm.We were all settled in the living room when my Grandma flies in ,plops down in her favorite chair and states " We are watching wrestling tonite " My mom freaks out and and takes us upstairs to play cards . We could here Grandma yelling & screaming at her favorite hero 's and heels on the TV. like " The Crusher & The Bruiser " ,Vern Gagne ,Nick Bockwinkle , Handsome Harley Race & Larry "Pretty Boy" Henning & others .She was a riot !
