i had this happen to me once in a newer truck (97) after i hit a deep water hole. it wouldnt shift the rest of the night, but the next morning it was fine. someone (here i think) told me of a sensor connected to the rear diff. or something like that. havent had that problem since that one time though, and it went away on its own for me.

and i dont think this is going to fix itself, trust me ive tried for about a year now,.......thats right, i wasn't going bogging, i was letting it try to fix itself......

damn, appearently you didnt get the delux model C6 the tranny in my 76 was acting up when i parked it, it wouldent go into gear untill you reved it but after letting it sit for about 6 months and i fired it up and appearently the little people inside did their job now it goes into gear fine.
