I have a 1993 7.3 NA forb in my 250. Tranny blew seal, prior to that it started to shudder and drop to zero on the oil gauge when brakes are applied. Does this when engine is warm. not usually at start up. Put in neutral and engine idles smooth. It also shudders when i stop at a light or turn left into my parking space.
Here is what I have had done or done.
1] Replaced tranny and torque converter
2] Replaced tach sender. Only worked above 1200 rpm.
3]Set idle at about 700 rpm .It was set back to low by a friend.
4] Brake pedel was hard. Replaced booster. Brake still hard replaced vac pump. It tested @ 17 inchs so I went for replacement as this site suggests. Brake pedel now normal. Still shudders and d4rops oil pressure like it wants to kill a stop when hot. As i wrote if I stop i have to put it in neutral to keep oil pressure up and shudder down.
5] If I turn on air while engine warm same prob at stop sign.
Please help. I am going a little crazy. Thanks, Steve
