Ok, so I was under my 05 SD today looking to swap the exhaust, and I found what look to be a small wire harness consiting of two wires on both frame rails up front cut. The wires look to be going up into the cab and to the front knucle/hub assembly on each side. One side, the passanger, is completly cut and I can't find the wires that goes up. On the driver side there is one wire cut and the other is intact.
Are these ABS wires??? If they are, why would they but cut? Wouldn't the ABS light on the dash come on?
There was another thread a short while back that had the procedures for testing all the lights in the dash. Find that thread and see if all the other lights come on. It does sound like you're right though. But again, why someone would do it is a little strange. What kind of mods do you have that might account for it (a lift, wheels, etc.).

Only mods to speak of are: front and rear bumper, different wheels and that's it.
I really don't get why someone would have cut the ABS wires??? Why not just dissconect them? This really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. That said I'd like to fix this so if anyone has a lead on part numbers for the wires etc that would be helpful.
Oh, and thanks for the info on thread for testing the dash lights, I'll have to search for it.
Well, given people's luck with searches, I figured I'd go back and hunt down the thread. You may or may not have found it with a search. Anyway, here you go:

Or the previous owner might've removed the light after cutting the wires. My 02 has three ABS sensors (which also control the speedo). One for each front wheel and one for the rear diff. Whenever I unhook any of them, I get an ABS light. There should be a connector for the front ABS, attached to the plastic wheel well, on what would be the firewall side.
My ABS light will sometimes illuminate while driving in the sand or snow. Apparently the computer gets confused when one sensor reads 20 MPH and the others don't... HA!
This may be the appropriate forum to ask, if you have faulty ABS sensor on the front hubs of a 4x4 F250 SD, can it be changed out our do i need a whole new hub bearing assembly with the sensor in it? Advance auto and autozone claim the only way to fix it is a new hub bearing... but they are also the same people who asked me for the year, make, and model of a torque wrench.
