How can I tell??????? Factory vs Dealer air
How can I tell from Factory air conditioning to a dealer installed air conditioner?
I want to be able to buy the right parts for it the first time....

Title should be: Factory air vs dealer installed air
Topic in the title of the thread please.
Integral Factory A/C has a huge box on the firewall and a control panel
above the radio
Dealer installed air has a A/C unit hanging from the dash.

Shouldn't the condensor / compressor parts be pretty much the same for replacement and for recharging; even if you convert from R12 to 134. The factory or dealer installed are interchangeable beyond the dash board.

Thanks for the clarification, Dennis. I've seen the under the dash AC setup in another U-haul truck and always wondered what was that.
