I've done a search for "Muffler Delete" and maybe I'm reading to nuch into this but I can't find much on it. Is this just a length of pipe welded in place of the muffler?
BTW: ordered my DP (I get it tomorrow if we don't get snowed in) and the BTS-VB is on the way - I'm on my way to Permagrin as we speak.
That's pretty much it, but you'll probably have to loosen the clamp and rotate the pipe before the muffler 180* so it mates with the tail pipe better. IIRC, the stock muffler is offset, so that bend in the pipe can be rotated to line everything up better.
Izzy is right - you need to loosen the clamp and make sure the bent part of the pipe is rotated before welding in the new straight section of pipe. It doesn't look like it will line up at first, but it does.
You can also cut that whole rear section out altogether and bring the exhaust out ahead of the rear wheels, which some people here have done.
I went to a semi truck shop and they got me a piece of flex pipe thats ran for the semi truck stacks. Stainless and i think i got a 48 inch piece and it looks great from outside of the truck and it sounds awesome. Yea get guages asap before u go rippin on it. I have auto phantoms and i love the look. They where a little more expensive than the ones on diesel manor. Diesel manors guages are the ones everyone on here seams to go with. They look BA from outside of the truck also!
