Another Tire Size ?

I've searched previous posts and all of the questions seem to relate to 4x4s. I have an 87 F250 2wd and I would like to run taller tires. What is the tallest size tire that will fit on the stock rims and not rub. Current tires are 235/85 16.

Thanks

I have the same truck and although it looks like the back has plenty of clearance, the front looks pretty tight. If you look at the distance between your front tire and the front bumper/inner fender you can see that it doesn't allow much room to grow. I've heard of people fitting 33's but I don't think it would work on mine. The stock size (235/85/16) has a diameter of about 31.7" and there just isn't much space left to go without rubbing becoming a concern. Wouldn't mind knowing for sure though.

i have 285/75/16 on mine all the way around if you get into a real tight turn they will rub a little but not much and it helps on the road travel but that may be due to the front end rebuild i have done same time as tires new front springs made me think she was a new one
