I am trying to figure out what I want to do performance wise on a 300 once I get one. I don't have a truck yet, but chances are it will be an efi model, but I would like info/suggestions for carb also. I am looking to for it to be fast in a street race, but still be able to outpull most other trucks without a problem. I also can't afford more than $1,000 in parts at this time. I already plan on 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 dual exhaust using efi manifolds.

For what you think you want $1000 might get you a down payment on something like this: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...&albumid=13267 That's if you can get the balance financed. Plus the Traffic Court Clerk will gladly sell you "Permits" for the street racing, the Insurance Company will want their cut too and the Parts Houses will love selling you parts for the ones you busted up while trying to out pull a 460. I don't think a $1000 is going to quite be enough.
ya, I know I asked the same ? awhile ago, but all the info I got didn't really help me out too much. I'm looking for info on things that work on both efi and carb engines, being as I don't know I will be getting. Little tips on things that i can do like how to port&polish the head, timing, and any other little tricks to squeese as much out of it as I can with what I can afford.

Search, research, read, take notes, plan, execute your plan. No one else can do that for you.
There are no shortcuts to answering your question. You are the one that ultimately has to answer your question. The lack of response to your question is a pretty good indication of that.
And you can whittle down the 417 pages here by doing a search. This thread has only happened a few hundred times, it shouldn't be hard to find the answers.
