I work in the moving industry and you could probably have your truck shipped on a car carrier for 4-600 bucks. If you want let me know and I will make the call to get a hard number.

Be very careful hiring a company to move your stuff for you. I know from personal experience that even with a contract they have your items hostage until you pay them. We moved our son from California to Chicago and they took us for an additional $500 before they would actually deliver his stuff. Have heard of some companies just dissappearing and the people never recover the items shipped.

When I moved to Michigan, I used a company that dropped a semi trailer off, you filled it, they picked it up and took it to your destination, you emptied it. Maybe that would work for you?

I know on the older 4X4's all you had to do was put the transfer case in neutral and it was ok to flat tow.

Is this possible to do with the ESOF (sp?) equipped trucks?

Thanks for all the great idea's. I did alot of inquiring today. Even though some of the prices were pretty good (400+) to have it carried out there, it still doesn't beat a oneway flight back home and for me to drive it out myself. Now that I'm retired the time spent isn't important, but price is. I think I've resigned to doing it myself unless something else presents itself.

Again thanks for all the great posts.

Marty
