New Truck Owner

...kind of.

This past Friday I placed an order for a 2011 F-250. This is only my second truck, my current being (don't laugh) a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 - regular cab, short bed, standard, V6 which I bought new. After many years and many miles it's time for it to go so I am very excited to have this new replacement in a month or so.

The F-250 is a silver XLT, crew cab, 4x4, diesel with with only a few extras as follows:

* XLT Premium
* FX4
* backup sensors and camera (for the wife)
* remote start
* upfitters and HD alternator
* console
* 18" wheels
* 3.31 electronic locker
* electronic shift-on-the-fly

The order was placed with Vernon Ford (http://www.vernonforddodge.com, Vernon, TX).

I'm very fortunate to have the means to acquire such a vehicle which is more or less for recreation (the Ram nor the F-250 is daily driver).

Regards,
Bit

I won't laugh, you got 12 years out of your dodge. Sure sounds like you've got a nice replacement coming, and quite a step up in amenities compared to your dodge.

Congrats on your new truck!

I just got the call that my 250 arrived at the dealership today.

Here is my question. I'm using United Buying Service to get a decent price and I'm getting the $2,500 rebate. Now I have the brochure with the $750 Private Cash offer. Should I be able to get that too? I haven't mentioned the $750 to the dealer yet. Picking up the new ride Saturday morning.

My understanding is that the $750 is to be applied to your benefit and regardless of any other benefits.

Out of curiosity, when did you place your order? I ordered my F-250 on March 6 and received the VIN number last Friday. No build date yet.

So, did you get the $750?
