Anyone looked at the new Google Maps Street View? Boston was one of the first places they opened the service up to. It is pretty amazing - street level views of almost any address. Here is a photo of my office....
I don't think there should be any privacy issues mainly because they are not realtime photos.. I do think it is a bad idea to have this due to the fact the terrorists can now scope out an area without going there..
I thought that is why they don't have close up satellite shots of neighborhoods.
They've got some pretty close up shots of some areas already..depending on the size of the city. I can even scope down using that map or google earth, and see older shots of my townhomes and can even make out the basketball hoop..but that's only cuz I know that's what it is, behind the shed.
The terrorist factor is something to think about..but it's way too late for that anyway.
