Another Michael Vick topic

I actually started hearing that the comments Arthur Blank made are being viewed as racist!!! I guess that we are so sensitive about race these days that if you refer to any black (or African American, if you prefer) person eating fried chicken, you are a racist. This is absolutely retarded (ahem, sorry, I meant 'silly'). Why in the world do we have to walk on eggshells with every word we say? Why do people have to pick out one sentence in an otherwise pretty good interview and key in on the words 'fried chicken?' Do only black (Oops, 'African American') folks eat fried chicken? I like it. Know what else I like? Collard greens. Why do peolple have to bring race into the conversation? Don't we have anything better to do?

I assume you are white, as am I. I love fried chicken and collard greens.....hell, I grow collard greens in my garden. I also grow watermelons because I like them.

I didn't hear the comments you are talking about but it really is nonsense. But, I have to ask....how DID fried chicken end up in the conversation?

I didn't post the youtube tape of the conversaton between Mr Blank and the MNF crew. he was basically talking about whether or not Mike Vick would be able to come back to the NFL. He stated that if Mike worked out while incarcerated and didn't "Eat alot of fried chicken and fries" he should be in good enough shape... (I'm at work and can't view youtube to get the exact quote...)

Blank seemed very professional and respectful.

Because this world is so ****** up that anybody who ******* and moans about anything will get their way, especially if they bring race into it. The people in charge of things think it's all about watching out for the little guy while forgeting about everyone else.

I figure I should stop typing now
