master cylinder rod

What length rod do I need to go from the booster to the brake pedel? Im using the master cylinder and booster from my 76 but the lenghth of the rod is different. I measured the height of the pedel to the floor and there is a 2 inch differnce in the two. I cannot change the whole pedel assembly out because on the 76 its all broken...im putting it on my 77 f100... Anyone got a link or part number on what I need?

You need the correct BOOSTER like I mentioned before and I mentioned what you needed.

The push rod is part of the booster assembly

You can't mix and match.

im talking about the top part not whats on booster itself... Maybe thats what I need and Im guessing its a junk yard item? When I got that booster it didnt come with the flat rod...or are the all the same? And its just the rod attached to the booster longer?

That fulcrum mount is on the firewall and is what the booster mounts to.

See the application per the 1977 as they are different than previous years.

It is far from just picking up any booster will do...... thinking.

Your 1977 F100 requires OEM booster D7TZ-2005 -H

That translates to precisoon booster rnumber

5012296 or *12296*.

The photo of the booster above is the one you need. Plus the 1977 fulcrum mounting Bracket/Pedal and pedal assembly.

76's don't have them.... they were a straight thru push rod style.

Does your 77 not have any brake asembly parts ?

Well when i had the 76 I must of got the fulcrom off a 77 or later model cuz I got that on the truck. When I got the 1977 it wasnt power brakes so i jsut took all the stuff off the 76 to put on the 77, but the lenght of that rod i suppose is to short or its the brake booster rod making the fulcrom not be able to extend all the way. I would just change out pedel assemblys but the one on the 76 is all tore up... I want to get this right.... So I guess the rod lenghts on booster on 76 are different length on 77?

That's right they don't have a bracket

Any bracket from 1977 to DJ0001 on a 79 will work.

You should try to find the whole brake assemby in a parts truck.
That way you have a core
