I just picked up a '89 Ranger. The grille is broke so I want to put another grille on. The local junkyard has numerous Rangers and the owner told me $15, my choice. What other years are exactly like my '89?
Speaking of Explorer grilles, I have one you can have for free if you want to pick it up. It's in nice shape, I just prefer the Ranger grille and swapped it out when I bought my truck. I'm about an hour east of you but if you feel like making the drive or if you come out this way let me know.
No problem. Not many Ford guys down my way so you gotta help out where you can...
BTW, sweet Fairlane. I used to have a 66 with a 351W & Toploader. That car was a blast but I had to part with it due to my over-ambitious project list. If I could add one more to the stable, that would be it!!
I see you are in SE PA. The Fairlane is a ball. I'm currently swapping out the C6 I had built and going with a toploader. It's a stroked 390 w/ 428 CJ heads 282S Comp Cam .571/.571 lift, 3" X pipe exhaust, etc...
Wow, you're killing me. Mine was even white, and had a 390 grilled hood even though it was a small block. That's one sick car you've got there. How do you like the cam? I have that identical block/head combo stashed away for a future build.
I'm about 40 minutes south of Allentown. But I grew up in Lancaster County (Paradise, to be exact...Solanco HS) so if you're from the Denver out that way, I'm vaguely familiar with the area. Spent a LOT of time at Maple Grove when I was young. Still have family in Millersville and Lancaster so I get out that way a few times a year.
