Are you sure you didn't get $500 for the Escort and they tacked $2000 onto the prices of the Focus. Kiss it goodbye.....do ya really want the prob back? And it is just an Escort....lol....j/k
Yup. I watched the numbers very closely...I bought the Focus for 700 less than book...I was happy. They had to give me waaaay too much money for my Escort to make the bank happy.
And I just bought my Escort back from the other dealer for $800.
well it appears that i am late, but i wasnt gonna weigh in on the 2nd question anyways!!!! as for the 1st question.... are you a moron??? that is a huge resounding yes, but has nothing to do with the escort!!! it is the Focus!!! hahahaha had to do it, after all we used to shellack Matt aka Beast12 for his focus. congrats i think... MORON!!!! Now just a little request dont start posting about how bad this deal has turned up later, cause then we will really have our way with ya! good luck anyways...MORON!! hahaha. Dan
You think the head gasket's shot.
1 dealer offed it.
Couple hundred thousand miles.
People have been in it. (sliding their anatomy across the seats)
It will never love you again. You can't get back what you once had.
To answer your question, only if you buy it back.
Worse yet, think of the fodder for the car guys when they have their car guy get togethers and talk car guy stuff.
"Hey, you remember that Escort. Yeah, that guy Terry? BWAHAHAHA..............
What a moron"

Steve............. Terry is so cool that he looks heroic despite sitting in a broken down Escort. (Isn't he?)
$1,000 Dollars? How many guys put that much into just a set of tires, and think nothing of it? It's all a matter of what you want to do, buy it back, or let it go.... I drive panther platform Fords ( Mercury Gran Marquis, Lincoln T/C Cartier), as well as my two Ford F-series, but I still have a yearning for the little cars that I used when I drove lots of miles to work. Small, simple, cheap and dependable. Like Dbox says, "New only means new, it does not mean good" or, "better", so if the Escort is what you really want, do it. My vote was to go get it, but if you aren't going to drive it, it really doesn't make sense, unless you will turn it around for more money in your pocket. Don't know if this helps, just some of my thoughts..... Good Luck in whichever way you choose.....

Hey Terry I'd most likely done the same thing. I've had a few car's and old trucks that I'd about pull my nvts off to have back. Gad you were able to get it back.
creative accounting at its best you got 2500 for a car that isnt worth $250.. and you wanna buy it back for $1000, put money into it and be left with what? PT Barnum said it best theres a sucker born every minute
