brake starter problem

Cool brake starter problem
Have 2002 F250 V10, when I apply the brakes when in park or neutral the starter tries to engage. Any idea's.

That is a good one there. Something is chaffing/rubbing through on the starter circuit. I would start by looking under the dash and steering column from the ignition switch to the firewall disconnect.

Hi
Took it to the dealer, Brake transducer system leaking to short.
They replaced switch and harness. Part number 1L1Z-9F924-AA cost
$18.98 for kit...$84.00 labor.
