What the ???? would cause this?

I was under my truck today replacing my sway bar bushings with Energy Suspension units today, and this caught my eye. Something wrong?

These are Dick Cepek springs i installed in april, and i found out why my truck leans again. Think these could be fixed at a spring shop?

I would think a spring shop can fix you up
I can't tell for but looks as though the leaf broke at the center bolt

Yeah, I see that now. I first thought is had rotated. Don't think fixing it is an option. I think you will have to replace it. Unless you have been getting a lot of hang time and hard landings, that shouldn't have happened, not after only 8-10 months. Contact DC and see if they will help. I would be suspect of the other as well.
If it were on the rear, I would say it is all the HP your making, rotating the axle housing and stressing the springs.

Was there a spring clamp on the lower leaf thats crooked? I see one on the leaf above that, but not on the lower leaf. Ive seen a few spring packs do that. You need a spring clamp on the lower set, to prevent shifting like shown above.

I'd say find a local spring shop that can build you the kind of springs you need for your driving habits.

And next time you might want to pay attention to how you take your pictures before someone starts making comments about how it was the drivers side spring that broke Wouldn't want someone claiming you're hitting the twinkies too hard.

First off i was away from the computer all night. I think you have made up some theories in your minds.. First the truck is never "off-roaded", the biggest kind of bumps it sees is speed bumps and possibly a curb i happen to back over. Havent used 4wd in forever except since saturday night actually at a bon fire. No front axle torque except from braking. The spring is broke in the perfect center, the front half of the leaf is centered, and the back half has slid out. I was contemplating on getting injectors next, but it looks like i might have to fix this first. I was always looking to do a 4" spring Donahoe kit and when i told the girlfriend about this, that was the first thing she said.

The broken spring sucks, but whenever one of you guys back east post pictures of your underbodies I am always appalled by the rust. They must be really abusive with the road salt back in that area.

That makes sense, i couldnt tell if that was a split, or if it was a rust spot, or sticker. Since you have a broken spring, you could possibly just get that individual leaf replaced
