Pcm Upgrade

Sorry if this question has been asked before but, I have a early 99 250 4x4 auto with the 7.3. People have said if I upgrade to a newer PCM the tranny will shift better. How new can I go without problems? I am looking at one from a 2002 250 4x4 w/ 7.3 auto. Is this to new or will it work?

if you got the early 99 PCM you will need a early 99 PCM..id send the PCM you have to ody at DP tuner and have him flash what you want on it....

Will they be able to reflash it so the tranny has the firmer shifts everybody is talking about?

yes they can, but to give you trans better and longer life, get the BTS Valve Body, Jody can tune your chip to it, those guys work together like Scotch and Ice
