Exclamation Oxygen Sensor

Okay, I need some real help from anyone at this point. I need to replace my O2 sensor and I am not sure if it is the sensor on the Drivers or Passenger side near the wheel well. Also if you have any tips on how to replace it, It would be greatly apprciated. I am just trying to save a little money on repairs to my 99' Expy 4.6L 4x2 by doing some of the work myself.

Thanks for the input guys!

What code did you get telling you you need to replace the O2 sensor? That should tell you which one it is.

Well I went and got the code read at Autozone on the truck today and it was P1131. I hope this helps in determining which O2 sensor it is or if it is the 02 sensor at all. Once again thanks for the input on this.

P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1

Bank 1 I believe is the passenger side, so it'd be the first one (in front of the cat) on that side.

Concur with Mike, it is the passenger side and it is the sensor that is before (engine) side of the catalytic converter. You'll remove it with a 13/16" wrench. Place som anti-seize on the threads of the new one.
