why are you running a hi volume pump? that is probably whats causing the failure. you need to get a specific dizzy shaft.

High volume pump and stock shaft = breakage. All books and build ups ive read say the high volume pump is not usually necessary, but always upgrade to the higher quality shaft. Cheap insurance.

is it a roller or flat tappet cam?

why are you running a hi volume pump. the only reason for such a need is a motor built with loose tolerances. most builds only need a regular pump.

ok, now why for the hi volume pump? contact the pump manufacturer and see what they recommend for a oil pump drive shaft
