I'm Jeff, I have a 48 F2 that I'll be starting on shortly. This is the third Ford build that I've done. My first build was a 71 F100 long bed and the second was a 53 Mainline. I've built many chevys and still own a few. I'm just trying to find a little tech here and there. Thanks and take it easy.
Ive just joined the forum and figured I,d say Hi via your thread.Ive got a 70 Ranchero with 302w and 3speed toploader. It arrived in New Zealand [where Im from ] from Texas 10 months ago.The guy who imported it did a bare metal respray, so it looks superb in a bright blue twopack[?].Anyway, the running gear hasnt been touched in about 37 years,so Ive put discs on the front, had new alternator and starter motor and am waiting for a pro-comp HEI dizzy so I can ditch the points, which dont want to do their thing because of a ballast fault or something. I want to drive it a lot,so Im doing my best to get it reliable, but Ive also got an Edelbrock 650 vac/sec waiting , till I can afford an intake manifold to go with it.Then some headers and hopefully lakepipes, cos I want it to look period 70s correct. Im trying to find an 8 track!Im trying to teach myself pinstriping and painting with metalflake,so I'll let you know how I get on with some pics sometime.Well, have fun with your Fords, remember, theyre built tough to drive hard! Have fun. Dwayne.
