Just a quick Question

Hey guys , New to the site and I figured I would get everyones opinion on my situation.
I am finally financially able to get a Used F250 Powerstroke and I have a few questions .
I am currently looking at 2 different trucks , the first one is a
2006 4x4 F250 XL FX4 super cab with the 6.0 PS it has 18,000 miles .$33,995.00

The other is a 2005 4x4 ( King Ranch) Crew Cab with 57,000 miles it also has the 6.0 PS. $32,998.00

So my general question is which truck looks like the best deal ?
And why?
Is that pretty decent prices? or Should I hold out a little longer to find a better deal?
I think I like the 06 better because it is newer however you get a whole lot more truck with the 05....so I just dont know .

I would get the king ranch unless your worried about racking up more miles. How is the red truck optioned? Looks pretty bare in there to me. I would also love to have the CC option the King ranch has

Good question, which ever one you like better, you will have to live with it for the next 5 or so years. I like the club cab

Basically the same price for both trucks. To me I go with the king ranch. When you are talking diesels, a 39K mile difference is almost nil. When you think how the king ranch is decked out. it a not even close to me. Get the KR. Plus the KR seems to be a good price considering its MSRP was over 50K!

New Truck

Are you sure the first one in an XL and not an XLT ??? XL's do not come with power windows and power seat--I don't even think it's an option in them. The truck also has composite headlamps and a chrome grille--The headlamps are optional on the XL, but not the grille. Definitely not an XL. I would go for the first one--It's newer and has 1/3 the mileage.

While I do like red, I would go with the 05 KR CC. 57,000 miles is "just getting broken in".

i personally would go with the first one, Althought i have a crew cab the ext. cab def look sportier with a short bed. But whichever you like better, but 1st, make sure you get an OASIS as that may change your mind quickly on which one. John

Go with the KR. The crew cab is a nice feature, and it the truck is loaded up compared to the red one.

But I strongly second johnjohns post. Get an oasis before doing ANYTHING!!!

what gears do the trucks have? what are you gonna use the truck for?

personally for me if it was gonna be my work truck i would go with the first one...cause its simplier and u dont have to worry about wrecking the interior as much....but if your gonna use it to haul haul the family around and to tow ur mud truck all over the country to find the best mud holes then i would go with the second one. just my opinion...

Well I am glad everyones opinion is like mine....LOL The King ranch sure is nice but the red truck is nice also ....I think what it all will boil down too is which one I can get a better deal with ....As far as use , it will be a work truck and I am sure I will be hauling the family around ( I have a SUV that is the better halfs ride) ....I may pull a car trailer a few times a month and then a camper twice a year .

Decision decisions .....I will have to make my mind up by tomorrow

i would go KR only because of the CC option and i agree the red one is an XLT. But if it will be a serious work truck then i say go XLT but if it is a good everyday truck for working in the morning and then taking the family out to eat in the even kind of truck you are looking for then i say KR. Miles on a diesel do not really matter, unless you are talking 250K or more then i say go less milage but under 60K the motor is JUST breaking in, maybe even more miles till it breaks in.
