boost numbers

When i first got my truck i put the edge juice w/attitude monitor and my boost was 25lbs.It was connected at the map sensor, now i have the dp tuner and oba from itp and the new evo 2(just for the gauges)which plugs in on the obdII and it reads only 18lbs.I called edge and told them what was going on and they told me that they never seen a 7.3 put more then 18lbs from a stock turbo now i know that they dont know anything but they said it does not matter where the edge gets its reading from, they should be the same(obdII or map)but i think there wrong it does matter right? Will the oba tell the pcm it is making only 18lbs thats why i am seing18lbs on my gauge which is reading it from the obdII.And how do i fix it with out putting a analog gauge. Thanks for any input.

the OBA keeps the PCM from seeing any thing over a set amount (should be 22 psi)..you are reading what the PCM is seeing..you need to tap into the map line before the OBA....

Agree with Ron too. I just finished my boost gauge install. Tapped a 1/8' NPT fitting into the intake just above the AIH plug.
