The 08 F350 6.4L powerstroke has a problem. Boggs down when accelerating. If I cycle ignition switch on off on while going down the road it suddenly developes normal power. I have 2 codes-P006 & P041. No one seems to know what these codes mean at the local dealership. Help would be greatly appreciated. Oh the truck has 80,000 miles on it.

80,000 miles that has to take the cake for the most mileage on an 08. Try a different dealership, I have heard stories about some dealerships not as good as others.

I'd be willing to bet that your ignition cycling "trick" is doing more harm than good.
Unless the codes have changed on the newer trucks here's what I show.
P0006 Fuel Shutoff Valve A Control Circuit Low
P0041 O2 Sensor Signals Swapped bank1 Sensor2/ bank2 Sensor2
Try asking this farther down the list in the 2008 6.4 diesel specific section. If the Ford dealer read those codes they should be able to tell you what they mean.
Keep trying dealerships until you find one that can help you...

This is from my experience: Keep trying stealerships (i mean dealerships) until you find one that can help you. Dont tell any of them about going to the previous one, they are like doctors - they will think its all in your head. Some dealerships are better to diagnose problems then others. Not all service depts are the same. Depends on the dealer, but small town dealers are low budget and dont have all the equipment like the big city boys do.
Don in my experience I have taken my car to the Big Town dealership and they couldn't figure it out and then the next day I took it to the "Low budget Dealership" and they figured it out. The two dealerships around here share tools and books so they don't have to fork out all the cash to get ever single tool, that being said they don't dealer trade with each other very well but they do share tools. The Big Dealer I am talking about is the 3rd oldest Ford Dealer in the Country.
not that i know what im talking about, but my guess would be that when you cycle your ignition you are resetting the trucks comptuer then it runs good...when it detects the faults the truck goes into limp mode till you reset it again. again, just my guess but maybe a sensor? i know my gasser f150 would do the same thing (run like crap, cycle the ignition, run fine for a bit...) turned out to be my tps and iac. i know different beasts...but sounds pretty close, and 80,000 miles! might want to pull over for a nap

Thats cool. But, where I live the small town dealership's service dept could'nt do anything for me. Dont get me wrong here, I am not knocking down the little guy, I like the customer service better in small towns - thats why I bought my truck from a small town dealer. Like when I added TowCommand, none of the small guys could turn on the parameter in the PCM for me - they said that they could install the in-dash module and brake master cylinder and thats it. Or like when I was told by a co-worker there is a new PCM re-flash out for our trucks, the small guys again said they could not do it. My main point is to try different dealerships until you get one to figure it out.
Hey I totally understand that, I just don't want people to think that all little dealerships can't do stuff. But overall there are some really good service departments that know what there doing and really bad dealerships.
I'm seeing some variations of those codes in the book, but not exactly as you're typing them. I'd stop by a different local dealer and have them take a look.
I see a p006b, which is a map/ep correlation code,
and p041b, p041c, and p041d which are egr temp sensor B circuitry codes
But the codes as you typed them do not show up in the manual.
