I am A fool

The dealership or the salesman that I got my truck from said we will change your oil for as long as you own the thing for 29.95 and did for A year. Now the SOB'S have raised the price to 59.95 and of corse I have nothing in writing .

$60 for a powerstroke oil change is amazing. You are still coming out of it with a great deal

It is a good deal, still. But you gotta be pissed at those dealers that will tell you anything to get a sale, then not follow through.
I understand your anger. It's a matter of principle.

But that still is a killer deal, for 60 bucks.

It might be A good deal but I still own the truck and I think they should make good on what was said as it was A major selling point, I can get oil for $ 8.00 a gal and filter for 16.95 =$49. and do it my self they use bulk oil and pay way less for A filter then we do.I guess I should be glad to get it done for $ 60. and stop whining.

Go back and talk to the General Manager or owner. It may not do any good, but you can let them know that if they don't stick to the agreed upon terms you will be telling everyone you know about it, including anyone who might be in there buying a car when you're there for your oil changes. I'm sure that if some folks are there talking to a salesman and you walk right up and say "If these guys promise lifetime oil changes for $XX, make sure they put it in writing because if you don't in a year they will jack up the price" it will make an impression....

If you make too big of a rucus and nothing is in writing, you could loose the 59.00 oil changes. Weigh the consequences before inserting foot. As the old saying goes " You could be dead right"

Apple Ford here in Columbia advertises "customer for life....free oil changes, car washes, etc for as long as you own the car...". Daughter took her Focus in for "free oil change". She got the oil change, and an estimate for $600 in repairs. Told her that if the repairs weren't done, no free oil changes.
As if that weren't enough, I'm looking over the estimate & the inspection report. Mechanic had marked the cabin air filter as N/A, meaning it didn't have one. Estimate had "..replace cabin air filter...$79.00". WTF. Another item was replace brake linings/pads. I pulled the rear wheels and it looked like the hub nut hadn't been off in a long time. Not having the metric socket, it was a week before I got to Sears for one. I picked up a set of rear shoes on the way home, pulled the hub, and guess what - old shoes were about 70%. She now drives around with a spare set of shoes in the trunk. My advice to her was - go in for the next free oil change & if you don't get it, call me.

Our local Ford dealership charges $130 (including taxes) for an oil change which includes a wash. Now thats in Cdn$ which currently is at par with y'all. The dodge dealership that I bought my truck from will give every fifth change free. $60 sounds good dude!
