I've had my '94 ext. cab 4x4 F150 for about 5 years now and it's been real good to me. It's got the inline 6 and 3.55 gears. I just rolled 141,000 miles and it's about time to jack it up. The big 4x4 show is on in Indianapolis in late September and I'm going to buy all the components I need to lift it there and I was hoping to get some suggestions from you guys. I'd like to be able to get some 35x12.5's underneath it and I'm thinking either a 4" or 6" suspension lift will be sufficient. Has anyone dealt with lifting an F150 like mine and can help me out with what products are good or bad or inform me of some problems/roadblocks I may run into. I may do a little off-roading with it but nothing extreme. It will primarily be a daily driver (gas is going to hurt!) so I would like to try to maintain some ride quality. Any help about which brands to buy or stay away from and tricks of the trade would be appreciated!
I have the ProComp but I have heard that Superlift makes a decent kit. I would recommend going with a replacement rear spring rather than blocks or add a leafs. For lift size, you will need to go with a six inch for 35's.
keep in mind that ur gonna have to change out the rear end. 3.55's wont cut it wit the 6 and 35's. i recomend 4.10s. but 373's shouldn't be too too bad either.
That is a good point. I don't know if I'm ready to change out my front and rear diffs yet. Do you think I'll manage a 4" lift and 33x12.5's with 3.55 gears?
