Make sure the upper and lower body bolts on the carb are tight, and the mounting bolts are also tight. Sometimes the upper body will shake loose and or have some vacuum leak due to nicks or improper gasket placement.
Spray WD-40 around all gasketed areas while running and all vacuum ports, joints.
damn carbs thats why i love fi. there cool to slap on and go though. i put a stock ford efi system on an 85 300 straight six and it feels like a v8 now.
It is possible that with the decrease in the ambient outside temperatures that your main carb jets may now be undersized. I recently experienced this and changed up sizes by two with grwat sucess.
I've read that carbs are calibrated to 70° @ sea level and to increase jet sizes by two for every 30° decrease in temp. That applies to Holley's and I would assume that it applies for most other carbs too.
