help taking dash apart

pulling the center of my dash apart to run my edge..... it will fit in the ashtray perfectly. how does the flip compartment for the ashtray pop out? doesn't feel too solid and felt like i was gonna break it. also, how does the wood trim around the stereo and climate controls pop off? looks like it should just pop out, held in by clips, but it also felt like i was gonna break it. just wanted to find out for sure before yanking on it any harder... thanks

The trim around the radio is held in by snap clips. Open the ash tray, slip your fingers around the trim piece and GENTLY pull out & up. Sounds like it's going to break apart, but the clips will release. There are 4(I think) clips on each side of the trim piece. Check each of the slots in the dash for any pieces left behind.

After that there are a couple of screws that hold the ash tray in.
