Tranny Linkage
I have a '75 F250 Highboy with a 390 and C6. I installed a cable shifter a number of years ago and now want to go back to the stock setup. My truck originally had the single rod between the column and trans so I picked up another one at a salvage yard but it appears to be too short. If someone could tell me the proper length of the rod for my engine/tranny combo I would appreciate it.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. My truck has an earlier build number and I do have the appropriate longer rod but I don't remember what the arm on the trans looked like before I cut it to install the after market one. I have a shaft/arm from a C6 that was behind a small block in a '78 F100, but I'm guessing that's not right. Any info on the correct arm length and orientation in park would br helpful. Also the kickdown lever on my trans is straight and runs parallel to the pan rail.
