well you can go here and find the installation instructions for your year truck and there is good pictures to follow, my chip came with these documents printed in the box.
there are pictures of properly cleaned pins and improperly cleaned pins to use as a guide

Erik you might want to read those directions again it specifically says that too much copper showing is wrong and could cause the chip to not seat properly and burn up both the chip adn the PCM and it will not be warrentied if this happens.

I would just wait and speak will Jody or Diane, I have seen where there maybe a problem with programming in our shop (mack & Volvo) so maybe just maybe #5 position never got a program so it will not recognize and switch to that. Want settings did you get???

Well, tried again with no luck - now the WTS doesn't come on and the truck won't start. I fail to see how the connectors could be any cleaner than I have them, and I still can't get hold of Jody. Arrrggghhhh!

Don't get frustrated, you will get it right and I know Jody will make it right if there is a problem with the chip itself. In the end you will be laughing at this and grinning as you drive.
