Crazy winter electrical problems
i have a 99 ford ranger xlt. have had it for 4 years now. And the crazy electrical problem i am having is for the past 4 years when winter comes a calling my trucks electrical system goes crazy. first off the "door open" light will stay on or will come on while driving blink on and off and beep a few times. second my "interior light" after starting the truck will stay on. if i start to drive it will go out. but when i come to a stop it comes back on. sometimes while the light is on or off the "door open" light starts the on/off thing. third when i get home or to a destination the "interior light" does not turn off. i have to pull the fuse to it and usually it is better the next day or still is crazy acting once i get it home and let it sit. Now, somedays it does all this i listed above. Somedays it drives with no problems. But it only does this stuff in winter never any other time of the year. Im just wanting to know why it does that and is there a solution to fixing it. thanks in advance.

sounds like its all related to the door switchs, could be either side. That would be the first place to go...possibly a good cleaning and electrical contact cleaner and lube may do you. Next would be to try to replace it with a junkyard replacement.
