I have a 2002, F-250, CC, 4x4, Lariat. I also have a GOLD Superchip in the PCM - came with the truck that way.
I ran an AE check recently and got the 1316 DTC.
Now my laptop with the AE on it is down.
So, where would I find the location of the Injector Drive Module?
From other threads, I gather that the HVC connectors under the valve covers can be responsible for the 1316 DTC. I plan to pull the covers this weekend.
This is an intermittent problem. When it happens I notice a slight roughness, the check engine light comes on, the roughness goes away and the light goes out.
This sometimes happens two or three times in a short time and it then may not happen for a day or more.
Are you talking about the PCM unit that is located on the driver's side adjacent to the parking brake?
Or is the IDM located in that same area?
Thanks,
yes it is kind of by the PCM..the IDM you need to remove the infender (just above the front tire)on the driver side..
