Right Blinker Went Nuts!

Right blinker went nuts last night. Compared to the left one, it blinks extremely fast. Is there any easy fix for this? I will take it to the dealer if it wont be easy but dont have the time right now.

A fast blink rate is a sign that a light bulb in the blinking circuit had burned out.

I hate to disagree with you guys, but it could also be the multi-function switch. Serch this forum and you'll find more info on this problem.

The right side is prone to this problem.

Mine did this 2 weeks ago. Went to auto zone and replaced the bulb with a new one and it stoped going nuts. Turn on the turn sig that is going nuts and walk in front of ur truck and see if the bulb is blinking. If the bulb is blinking then u have somthing else wrong. If it isnt blinking that is ur problem.

What is what? If you are refering to what is a multi-function switch...it is what Ford calls the turn signal stalk (it has multiple functions). If you are referring to the symtoms, I mean that F250's have exibited a problem where the switch breaks and acts like a burned out bulb (fast blink), yet all of the bulbs are OK

Ahhh makes sense, never thought about one of those. However I don't understand how one would go bad, but crazier things have happened.

Could be, but my money's on the "burned out bulb" theory.... did anyone mention that?

We just need for the OP to tell us if it is the bulb or the multi function switch.

Bulb out my dad's F-150 did the same thing a few weeks ago. If it is like my dads F-150 the bulbs in the back are dual filiment, the light still worked for the lights, but the filiment that blinks was out.
