Recently purchased a 2004 screw lariat. Wanting to purchase navigation but not wanting aftermarket. Wanting factory in dash but not sure if my truck will support one. Not totally against "in dash aftermarket", but just wanting to know if anyone has dealt with this...
My '06 Expy has the stock NAV and it sucks, big time. I put an AVIC-Z2 in my Screw and it looks stock. It also runs laps around the stock units in terms of performance, capability and accuracy of maps.
Have a 2004 F-150 XLT Screw with the factory installed Nav. Got it from a friend who worked for Ford. The only thing that needed to be done was getting the antenna cable to adapt to the new head unit which takes a special type plug that can be had from the dealership . Also a little trimming had to be done to get the console to fit right. All in all it looks great and works really good. I also have the 6 disc CD changer built into it
I am also considering a nav/dvd for my 150 as well... Any one have any experiace with the Kenwood 7100? Open to others, but would like to stay under a grand and the 7100 is on ebay for $880...
