Magnaflow vs. MBRP

So I'm trying to decide what exhaust I want. I know that the MBRP is cheaper and the quality is decent (I've installed a few 4" MBRP powerstroke kits). But on the other hand I've heard that the magnaflow 4" kit unleashes a few more horsepower and ft. lbs., is better quality, and sounds better. Also I've found some great deals on the 4" magnaflow kits. Anyone have any input?

Are you going with a muffler and a cat or delete pipes?

I personally have the factory pipe with the muffler and cat deleted. But I have some friends that run the MBRP and they sound great.

I think you can get them from MBRP. I was able to find a exhaust shop that would do mine. It cost me $120 with a 5" tip.

Magnaflow

My brother has the MBRP turbo back on his 2003 6.0 and I got the Magnaflow installed on mine, turbo back system. cat delete, muffler installed system with 5" stainless rolled edge tip. I really like the sound of the Magnaflow, it howls when you mash down on the go pedal with a hot tune programmed in.

i don't think that you can go wrong with either one, the shop that I used preferred to use Magnaflow so that is what i went with. Nice install and it sounds great. I believe that the Magnaflow downpipe from the turbo is bigger than the MBRP.

I got a MBRP cat delete pipe and put it in my stock system. I just removed the two forward flange bolts, loosened the rear clamp and installed the delete pipe. It made a noticeable difference in reducing the turbo lag and the turbo whined a little more then stock. Then I got the MBRP T back 304 SS system which the previous cat delete pipe fit right in and that almost totally eliminated the turbo lag. Now when my turbo whines, heads turn. I'm very satisfied with the MBRP T back exhaust on my X.

I haven't heard a MBRP with a muffler on a 6.0, only straight piped.

My buddy has the Magnaflow on his 6.0 (turbo back, no cat, with a muffler and a 6" tip)....sounds really good, IMO.
