1999 Sd V10

I own a 99 F250 CC SD w/ V10 motor. I have used this truck exclusively as my tow-er for boat and 5th wheel. It has been a very good truck and always up to the task. I am getting ready to hit 100K on mileage. My question to you guys is what should I do service wise. I have twice had the tranny serviced, I change my oil on the 3K change frequency, last year I had the local dealer flush and clean my coolant system, I've also had the differential fluid changed to high$$$$ synthetic. I am considering plugs and believe it could be time for shocks also. I'm scared of the plugs due to the "plug blowing" issue. What do you guys think needs to be done and how many trouble free miles can I reasonably expect out of this good old truck?

I suggest plugs too. either do them yourself or have a dealership do them and you recheck them. AT 122K i had to have the tranny rebuilt from heavy towing. I am not saying you need it I am just saying it was my experience. Also double or triple check your ESOF hubs. The vac lines may all need to be replaced.

I purchased my 2001 F350 SD V10 a few years ago with 111,000 miles. I had most of the basic maint. records, so I know fluids were changed regularly and it got a new battery at one point. Prior to my ownership, my truck wasn't used primarily for towing, but for taking potatoes to the Farmer's Market. I now have 130,000 miles and haven't had to do much to it. I had the plugs checked and my mechanic said they looked near new and put them back in place using great care. The most significant thing I've done was change the shocks and replace the fuel filter, both which made a huge difference in my driving satisfaction.
