I heard that this year they are going to play more Christmas show than last year. I am a mother of 3 (a 16yr, 10yr,3yr) and I always watch the shows lol it always brings back memories though of being a kid lol.
i watched Rudolph last night. they "fixed" it. it was horrible. i saw it the 1st time in 1965. i want the '65 version back. yep, i'm a sentimental puss.
I didn't watch Rudolph. What did they do to "fix" it?
Christmas Story is my all-time favorite Christmas movie.
The infamous lamp: "Only one thing in the world could've dragged me away from the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window."
The flat tire incident: "Oooh fuuudge! Only I didn't say 'Fudge.' I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the 'F-dash-dash-dash' word!"
The pink bunny suit: "Aunt Clara had for years labored under the delusion that I was not only perpetually 4 years old, but also a girl."
The furnace: "In the heat of battle my father wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Lake Michigan."
The soap in the mouth: "Over the years I got to be quite a connoisseur of soap. Though my personal preference was for Lux, I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Life Buoy, on the other hand... YECCHH!"
I hate it when they 'fix' movies. I like the Allistair Sim version of 'A Christmas Carol' the best. BTW, at the Cannery Casino in North Las Vegas, the lounge/bar area in the center was decorated with those lamps the last time I was there.
Hey 62_Galaxie_500 you can get one of those lamps on Ebay real cheap and I seen one in a store flier not that long ago, hubby wants to get one also and I said NO we are not getting one and he said ah hon please, still said no lol. that is his favorite movie too when it comes on and it is a marathon we end up watching it I end up watching it just once then hit our room to watch something else, I also don't like how they "fixed" the Christmas movies over leave them alone they are classic that way not fixed.
